     The Board of Directors of the Altona and District Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the appointment of Cheryl Link as Interim Chamber Manager.  Cheryl joins the chamber with 26 years Chamber of Commerce experience as well as Festival and Museum management. Cheryl has demonstrated skills in marketing, promotion retail relations and continuous improvement.

     Cheryl has been hired to help steer the Chamber in the direction the business community desires while maintaining current operations. With her wealth of experience and ability to connect with people, she will be crucial in providing feedback and suggestions to the board to help determine its future strategic plan. Once the plan is developed, Cheryl will be key in the implementation and transition of the strategic direction.

     President Jared Barnabe noted that: “Our main objective at the Chamber is to help develop a stronger business community; the board is confident Cheryl has the expertise to help develop a plan that will best help our business community prosper. We are excited to be working with her and to utilize her experience and knowledge.”

Initially, Cheryl will work three days a week visiting businesses and office work, then will work from home the remaining days on planning, research and coordination.

     The Altona and District Chamber of Commerce is the Voice of local business with the aim of creating a healthy business environment and to protect local business interests.  We achieve this through advocacy, education, communication and promotion.
