Mission Statement:
The Altona & District Chamber of Commerce is the voice of business working to provide the leadership that is needed in building and maintaining a vibrant economy as well as enhancing the quality of life in our community.
The Chamber is committed to the following:
- Promote a viable business climate in our region
- Promote economic development within our community
- Promote and encourage community growth
- Promote and develop tourism
The Chambers' Role in Altona:
- Organizing regular luncheon informational meetings for our members
- Creating, improved, cooperative promotional campaigns for our retail sector
- Providing ongoing communication via regular e-mail and broadcast faxes to keep our membership up to date on pertinent information
- Facilitating new business grow by working together with the Town of Altona and the Altona Community Development Corporation (ACDC)
- Seizing opportunities to promote our community both as a place to live and a place to visit
- Organizing customer service educational seminars targeted to managers and front line employees
- Providing ongoing support for marketing and business related issues
